History of Abrate Antonio and of the Precision Mechanics works company

From 1949 to 1953 apprentice at the mechanics workshop in Racconigi (CN) and attended evening classes to gain the lower secondary school diploma.
From 1953 to 1963 skilled worker, initially repairer/assembler and subsequently manager of the assembly department for the precision mechanics company Ferrero in Turin. Attended another 3 years of an evening school for mechanical engineers reaching the 5th year
From 1963 to 1966 Manager of the assembly department for the Vincenti company in Turin
On April 27 1967he founds the Abrate & Bertola company with 3 employees specializing in general mechanics
On January 1st 1970 he pursues the activity as Managing Director of the newly founded A.A. of Abrate Antonio, with the collaboration of his wife Mrs. Elda Ninotti and 7 employees: precision mechanics specializing in the design and production of spindles and fast clamping bushings with headquarters in via de Gasperi 7/b - 10024 Moncalieri (To);
On September16 1985 he company changes name and becomes A.A. of Abrate Antonio & Co. Sas with headquarters in Corso Savona 36 with 25 employees. From 2004 to date the headquarters are in via Juglaris, 45 a Moncalieri and the company has 30 employees.
Since the company has been working in the field for 44 years, it is well known on the Italian and foreign markets, both European and worldwide, as supplier of spindles and special equipment. Among its major clients: the Fiat and Iveco Groups (for all Italian and all foreign plants), Comau, Skf Industrie and Innse Berardi, with which it has open repeat orders for parts it produces and designs or that are based on client drawings.
We continue to increase the range of our products and experience. Indeed we've completed highly complex groups both in terms of design (since 1970 we've implemented over 1000 projects) and construction thanks to the considerable experience of Abrate Antonio and of the staff that has been working with him for over 30 years. And, in 1994 his son Abrate Lorenzo joined the company as Technical production Manager and his daughter Abrate Silvia became Sales and Administration Manager.
Since 2004 the company has uni en iso9001 certification and was awarded the Mercurio d'oro (Golden Mercury) by the rt.hon. Ugo Martinat on 18/04/2004, at Turin's Lingotto Congress Centre "in witness of the entrepreneurial merits and to highlight the significant contribution of small, medium and large enterprises towards the national community's social and economic development ".
The world crisis of 2009 has also affected the mechanics industry, nevertheless the company succeeds in continuing to work and in keeping all its employees.
