Special Equipment Design

The A.A. ABRATE SRL workshop designs special equipment thanks to its technical staff skilled in designing special spindles, even in unusual sizes, that are perfectly suited to the lathe you already own.

Characteristics of our spindles:

• expanding or membrane, with rawlplugs and ISO, HSK and ABS connections;
• hydraulic and for undercutting;
• for EMUGE turnings;
• lapping machines, with rawlplugs and lubricant lead;
• electronically controlled tappers;
• for stud screwers, with threaded connection.

The spindles are designed using computer systems which calculate the various mechanical strains they will be subjected to. All spindles are made of hardened steel. To ensure proper functioning of all lathes and spindles, we recommend using only the products sold by A.A. ABRATE SRL, such as multiple heads on multiple spindles with ISO connection, collets for hooking spindle connections and the set of fastening collets.

Metallic part finishing

Lathe works with precision finishing for clients requiring minimum ranges of tolerance. The company supplies mechanical workshop machinery for turning, milling, drilling, lapping and reaming.

Part sampling

The workshop provides consultancies for part sampling, thanks to its design office and to the skills of the manufacturing departments. Companies can contact A.A. ABRATE SRL to ask for any kind of accuracy check on the parts they produce. Sampling may be required for specific parts in order to certify, before delivery, the optimized quality of each part. We also produce very small parts and quite often the accuracy and minimum range of tolerance of these parts are the primary client requirements.

Turning, milling and grinding

A.A. ABRATE SRL produces parts by precision turning, milling and grinding..

Our equipment comprises:

• CNC lathes that can reach a maximum diameter of 300mm and a maximum length of 630 mm, and traditional lathes for turnings of max diameter 450mm and max length 1000mm
• Traditional and CNC milling machines and a workshop that can mill from 0 to 1000 mm
• Grinding machines that can reach a maximum diameter of 350mm and a maximum length of 1000 mm

All our machinery is calibrated to achieve a micron tolerance.

DEA test

We have a metrology room available on site to test all the equipment produced both during production and once each part is finished to check compliance with the required tolerance range.
